( 14 ) South Parlour: The walls of the south parlour are adorned with a large mirror and three oil portraits. The gilt mirror over the fireplace is original to the house and appears to have been anchored into the chimney sometime in the 19th century.

The oval profile portrait hung between the two south facing windows is of John Alexander Barry (1790-1872). It was completed by an unknown artist about 1860. Barry was the son of a Loyalist, and was himself a successful Lunenburg merchant.
